Flushing dual engines

operators with dual engines: when flushing after each use in salt water do you do each engine separately or run a splitter and do them at the same time? I have average or below average water pressure so I am nervous to try splitting and doing them at the same time but wanted to get some advice. Thanks

I have a 190 now and taking delivery of 255 in the Spring.

I never have used it and have never had a problem. Just lots of fresh water.

That’s interesting and good to know. I’m a freshwater boater but was in salt water for a week. I used salt away but still worried constantly something was going to go wrong. Sounds like it might not be that big of deal. Thanks!

I flush with Salt Off (West Marine's brand), and I would recommend it as an extra step to insure the health of your engine. I only boat in Salt Water, and I have done so for more than 3 years. You may have seen some posts about scale build up and sand in some engines; a salt eliminator helps ensure a complete flush by preventing any deposits forming in the cooling system. In any event, it only cost about a buck a flush. I flush with just water for a couple of minutes using only the hose fitting to promote maximum flow (strong stream out of the pisser), and then I flush for a few minutes with the anti-salt solution.

Only 1 at a time. I tried 2 but had issues with flow.
I use salt away once a year or so. it is a diluted acid so I don’t leave it in my motor.
