I took my boat out after getting it fixed. After getting gas at the gas dock- I thought it popped out of Neutral but it did not. I push the throttle down and the Engine made a really loud reving noise! I went slow again for a while and it was fine- but when I tried to go fast it made the same horrible sound and wouldn’t go fast anymore…. any insight?
Thank you!

sounds like trash in the pump

If your throttle arm mechanism has a large button / knob in one corner it could be what is used to disengage the forward and reverse bucket so you can rev your engine at idle without moving forward or backward. Modern yamaha jet boats have these buttons as well but they are hidden in that they are built in to the base of the throttle. Try pushing the button In and or pulling it out while the engine is running to see if that’s your issue.
