Four Winns OEM jet....and no it isn't a fling

That's pretty cool! Welcome aboard. Something you made?

Nope, stock Four Winns. They only made them for 2 years. Very few made and I feel pretty lucky to have one

Guess they were the first jet with a rudder?

I get the feeling you all are making fun of me but I'm not sure why

What kind of engine in it?

351

NICE
American Turbine jet? Sweet, I bet that thing is pretty fast too!
It's in the 50's I am guessing. If not, we sure do need to get that 351 screamin!

I have some friends up by where you live. Grand Rapids and Hudsonville. Perhaps I could get a ride on that thing once? Maaayyyybe in the summer. Just a tad chilly here lately.
Any video's of that thing running?

I've only had her out once but am hoping the weather cooperates for at least another day or two so I can enjoy. It is killing me that I bought at end of season. Had her going just under 50 with 3 of us in the boat. I'm in Allendale and wouldn't mind taking you for a ride at all. Videos will come someday....brrr cold today

Julian was making a joke toward the creator of a popular add on for Yamaha and other jet boats. We are glad to have you here and to learn about your boat. There are lots of similarities across jet boats so we should be able to share ideas on many issues.

Yeah, like putting twin 351's in my boat.

That is pretty sweet! Never have seen one.

I'm, as usual, late to the Four Winns jetboat party. I have a 95 FW H190 w/ the Redline 351 and AT jet drive. My rear floor plan is way different than your 96 but from midship forward it's pretty similar. I don't get anything close to 50MPH on the water.

Welcome Aboard! Let's see some pictures.

That's cool. In my area I have seen a few older OMC jets. I looked close at one and they pretty much take the I/O leg off and the jet unit bolts on. The guy I talked claimed he never head to clean it out and almost no maintenance. Lots of big aluminum Thunderjets where I boat. Cam.
