FX HO vs FX140 Upper Crank Case

Anyone know if the upper crankcase is the same on the 140 vs 160 hp engines? Parts diagram shows that the assemblies are different. But there is a slight chance they could be the same?

The 140 engine displacement is 998cc and the 160’s are 1052cc, the difference would mean that either the bore or stroke or both would be different. You will have to dig into the engine specs. on both engines to differentiate between the two.

I know there are a couple members that have done a bunch of research on this subject, hopefully they will chime in.
