If you are having this issue please post up, year of your boat, and the software version I finally have someone at yamaha looking into the issue.

My 2017 190 FSH resets the Gallons Used Meter every time you turn the engines on/off, my 242 does not do this you have to manually reset it, which is how this FSH should act.

Fairly certain my 2016 FSH is the exact same way as you describe. Resets each time.

I have a 2017 fsh 190 that does the same thing. Dealer has switched gage and ecu but still malfunctions. After months of me complaining to Yamaha and supposedly engineering researching it, Ray at Yamaha told me that is thee way it is supposed to be. BULL!

I have the same issue. 2016 model. I don’t have the FW handy.

Here is my software version: 117806v01_18

Probably a "keep alive" memory hot wire somewhere that's not connected. Or connected on the switched side of the battery master.

nope, its a software/firmware thing, my 242 keeps the settings, weather the battery is hooked up or not.

The ecm has persistent memory but it needs to be written to and read from. A few things that could be causing this including improper ecu programming, improper canbus programming, and the display not being programmed properly to name the likely suspects.

Software 117806v01_18 ...same as above. Thx.
