Sunday I powered up my Smartcraft monitor { Merc gadget that reads engine ECM for temp, hrs,gph, gal used,water psi,and other neat stuff ] to see how many gal.I burned and it's showing "general engine malfunction " WTF it was running fine when I put it on the trailer.Find large nut in bilge and spent a day with my 250 lb 6ft 67yo happy ass wedged in the engine hatch to finally find that nut came from the tow eye not engine. Thats gonna be fun cause you need a mirror to see it let alone reach it.Then it dawns on me I'm not getting a test beep when I turn the key.Broken wire on alarm horn and Mercury shows it as engine malfunction .Gotta love boats

Agree,. it's always a great feeling when you start expecting the worst and find something minor.That "general engine malfunction" symbol gets your attention.
