Hello all,
I am really happy I found this fourm. I just bought a 2008 AR230 HO, I’m not new to boat ownership I am new to the jet boating community. So i’m Sure I will have lots of questions, this fourm has already helped me out. The boat I bought was basically a rescue, the mechanics are fie but there are a few cosmetics issues that need addressed.
I look fwd to chatting with you all and thanks for having me.

Welcome! Can you help us with the details of the boat you purchased? Maybe a 2008 AR230H0? or a 2018 AR240? In 2010 their largest boat changed a bit, they added a foot and modified the bow from pointy to much wider. They also have different engines between the 230 and 240.

Which one did you get? Based on your description of project boat, it may be a AR230HO from 2008..Is that right?

yep that was type-O, I have corrected it now. I bought a 2008 AR230 HO. My first issue i’m Tackling today is trying to get the cleaning port plugs out, they are stuck.

Welcome! Those are just awesome boats, the 2008-9 230 were probably best MY Yamaha ever produced, that was when they were still run by engineers!
I’m still toying with an idea of “upgrading” to one.
