The 2005 AR230HO deal that fell through just became available again and I'm going to see it Thursday. Buddy of mine has the software to read the hours and the monkey cable, but I don't know how to use it. Can someone post step by step instructions how to do it? Seller advises about 43 hours. Asking $15K. Does this sound like a good deal?
Thanks!

Thanks for the info! I'm in MD, but Boat is in VA at Lake Anna. Trying to figure out how to update my profile...

I can't really explain the procedure off the top of my head. It was pretty simple. But one thing that I do remember was that I continually got a "communication error" until I switched the com port (I think it was to com port 1). Then, bingo it worked.

sounds like a good deal if the boat is in good condition, I would try the software out on your buddies boat and your computer, sometimes the com port can cause an issue and sometimes it's just acts funny,

Just picked up the software and cable and istalled it on the laptop. Heading down tomorrow and see if she's everything I hope!
