Hey, looking for new first hand info on Bonaire, going back this December for the first time in 15-20 years.

Looking for good active, forum, and figured the people here would know one if they saw one.

Thanks,
Andy

Howdy Andy, we loved Bonaire! We went there on our honeymoon, but that was 25 years ago this June! It hasn't changed much I don't imagine. Still the best laid back diving in the Caribbean. Although it isn't technically in the Caribbean. The best part about Bonaire, is that it is south of the tropical convergence zone. That means stable weather systems, very little rain, and outside traditional hurricane paths. We stayed at Captain Don's Habitat...and it is still there, I just googled it! It was our honeymoon, and when we got there, they had upgraded us at no charge to the nicest of the rooms they had. It was amazing. The only bummer the whole week, is just down the road toward town, another place, the sandpiper or sands or something, we went with another couple for dinner. I got food poisoning and was out of commission for the last 3 days of our trip! My new bride is still with me today, and she stayed right by me and even was in and out of the kitchen at Captain Don's, they made chicken soup, gave me juices, just went above and beyond. That was 25 years ago. But their setup was great in a mid sized dive resort without the crowds. Good thread @arew~SX230 !
