Well gents, I finally got my boat! After shopping several dealers within a 500 mile radius for a new 212S I found this 2019 boat. Purchased it with 11 hours on the engines from a fantastic guy who loaded it with extras including custom SeaDeck, JBP fins, and a ceramic coat on the hull.
Since I don’t have to pay sales tax in Georgia for a private sale used boat I saved almost 14K off the cheapest new boat price I could find. Some of the dealer fees are crazy right now. For those of you still waiting on new boats I definitely urge you to keep searching the used market too. Really happy that I did.
It will be close to 80 and sunny on Lake Lanier on Thursday. Looking forward to spending the day on the lake! On a side note, what I huge towing difference between my old SX190 and this 212S. My F150 diesel could barely tell the SX190 was there. I definitely can feel this boat riding behind me.
I appreciate all the sound advice on this forum. Let me know if any of you are ever out boating on Lanier or Hartwell!DD0E79DC-5484-4591-9A04-8336507196DE.jpegDD0E79DC-5484-4591-9A04-8336507196DE.jpegA283DC42-1B03-4A23-89D5-7220808BD683.jpeg7EAAC944-F85A-4D8C-BCAE-C82B74B96427.jpegDB2760E6-36C9-44B2-A401-42017AF6F070.jpegE069C079-08CB-4A21-B503-F2ECA8D08A44.jpeg

Ha.. I’m a on break teaching a class at UD reading this right now! Nice looking boat! Enjoy.

Congrats, good luck, have friend down on Lake Lanier, wish we there....just winterized last weekend....five months and counting down.

Congrats! Great looking boat. I enjoy Hartwell in the “off-season”. Lots of great water for long cruises on sunny winter days. Grateful for no winterizing here!

pick the tongue up on the trailer a smidge and it'll tow a lot better. When I first bought my current 212x I thought the trailer was just pure trash compared to the old MFI I had previous on my old 212x. Looked at the trailer one day on flat ground and it was similar to yours pointing slightly down. Picked up a receiver that was straight out and picked up the tongue to where the trailer was level. It was a night and day difference towing with my F150. I had no idea it would make that much of a difference. My truck has the max tow rated at 13k lbs. I thought to be sure it should be able to yank this little dinghy around like it was nothing. However, it felt REALLY heavy. Was weird considering since my truck has nearly 500ft lbs of torque. Just those few inches of difference and my truck tows my boat like a dream now. Was really mind blowing to me.

Beautiful boat and sweet deal!

What wheel/tire combo are you running on your F150? Is it stock suspension or do you have a level/lift on it. It looks great! I'll need new tires soon and I'm planning to jet get a whole new wheel and tire combo and also considering a level or small lift.

Great looking boat and a great deal. You will enjoy it.

They are XD wheels on Nitto Ridge Grapplers 275/65/R20. The wheels were around 900 bucks (not too crazy compared to some brands out there). I put a 2 inch level on the front. I love the combo. It isn’t crazy and gives the truck a more aggressive look. You’ll sacrifice about 2MPG with this setup tho. With the diesel engine and this setup I’m averaging about 20MPG. If you have the V8 I’m guessing you’ll be in the 16 or 17 MPG range. Just a guess tho...

Looks great! Sounds like you found a nice deal on a local boat. Enjoy it!!!

Very nice/sharp looking. Love the simplicity of the graphics and the color is great! Enjoy!!!!

Thanks for the info, looks really good and I like those XDs. I was considering some Wicked Off Road wheels (model W903, also about $900) on 275/55R20 Ridge Grapplers. That's the stock tire size that came on mine but a 2 or 2.5" lift would allow me to go with a little bigger tire to fill out the wheel well better like yours. I'm not trying to jack it to the sky, but I would like a little better stance from it. Decisions, decisions.

Congrats on the boat. I’m like you, shop for a good used deal and save $. With corona, I’ve seen my vintage of boat sell for what I paid for it in 2008 ??.

Your county will likely send you a bill next year. They did for me (Forsyth).

@Rockfords Fosgate Did they send you the yearly ad velorum tax or sales tax? Unless you purchase from a dealer or go thru a broker you shouldn’t have to pay sales tax.

:Welcome:
Congrats on finding one that's basically brand new - we put 12 hours on ours in two weekends and then took it in for it's first service. You lucked out with the Seadek replacement too...very nice.

What are the best web sites to find a used one by private seller? I a having trouble finding any newer model years for sale.

@kmoto I highly recommend Facebook marketplace. User tip...use a desktop and not a phone app. You can widen your search on the desktop version. People are much more responsive on there too. Boat Trader is junk. Most of the boats on there have already sold.
