While out cruising the Chesapeake bay this weekend, it was cumbersome to use my phone for nav. I'm thinking of a mounted stand alone unit for the boat. Has anyone done this? I'm thinking the Garmin Striker Vivid 4cv. I'm looking for mounting ideas, and transducer placement and mounting ideas for that as well.
