It's been a tough year for the waistline. No excuses, I've been eating like crap.

Who's in?

Let's do it for Mikey!

Maybe we do some sort of financial penalty based on weekly loss....like lose less than 1 in a week and it costs you 5.00.....and have that money go to some sort of Mikey tribute or cancer research. Just tossing out ideas. Anyone else?

IN:
@Big Shasta (in before the "beetes" shows up)
@craigm
@thcole
@GiddYupJoe
@subysti (Waiting to see the size of the pot)
@Julian
@Speedling (taking donations for a scale first)
@txav8r (current inability to capitulate)
@veedubtek (likely)
@justason (psyching himself up for it)
@MrMoose

I am in. Would like to lose 15 to 20.
Official start of boating season for us northerners is about May 1.
Challenge could be on till then. One pound a week 16lbs, perfect.
Looking forward to others thoughts.

I am in for something too. Either a new format or last year's format.

I'm in. This competition last year was just what I needed to stay motivated. I lost nearly 20 last year and then have progressively put on 10 since. My wife and I are starting on Monday the 4th. Let everyone binge over the weekend and we can weigh in on the 4th??

I Like it...any thoughts on the format? We could always just skip any money, just trying to think of ways to spice it up.

PS...I may or may not be eating Hardees biscuits and gravy right now as hangover food.

How about this for going out with a Bang! I went back to my home town yesterday and went to the best little burger joint on earth... (Kewpee) Anyways, I smashed a double cheeseburger, two single cheeseburgers, two fries, small malt and a double large orange soda. I was pretty impressed with myself.

Game on!

What about if we could put your old spreadsheet on dropbox and people can add in their weekly weights and then just save it. That would prevent one person from having to track everything.

I need to do this. But I need some kind of real motivation like cash or some kind of prize. Could we set up a payday account or something. Everyone throw in lime $20 and have a first second and third winner. It would be have to based on percentage of weight lost as someone fat like me can lose the first 10lbs quickly it the next 40lbs where things slow down.

We did $50 each last year. The money absolutely helped with the motivation.

You have two more days to pad that number before the weigh in. Eat up!

I might be in...I NEED to be in...but I want to capitulate a little more!

I'd likely be in as well. I've done well about keeping it off, but really seemed to plateau after last year and have been hovering since. Sure love to knock another 10-15 off, but this beer is just sooooooo dam good.

Wife told me about this site...all automated. You set up a challenge group. What do you think? even has a mobile app.

They get 10-25% depending on the amounts but I see that as paying for the technology....25 seems high 10-15 seems reasonable and could be the number if enough people join.

I charge 0% to hold the money like last year. I'm here to help out if you guys go that route.

The app lose-it helped me considerably to track input/burn. I think i may be ready for this

Count me in. Mr. Moose is starting to look like a real moose.

So, any objections to setting it up on www.dietbet.com and opening it up to outsiders to build the pot? I'm active on the tundra forum as well and with a lot of members, we might be able to double the participants.

I'd prefer to leave just to fat Yamaha boaters. But that's just me.

@subysti I agree....I was thinking of offering a Jetboaters.net t-shirt as an added incentive. Lets keep this thread active so that more people see it!

and "HEY" I'm not FAT....I'm.....I'm....in denial! LOL
