my 05 ar230 was totaled in hurricane Florence and I bought a 18 AR240 but I haven’t gone to pick it up yet. Curious if you can slide it around like I could on my old boat? Are the stock speakers any good compared to the older models? I’m going Jan 2 to pick it up. Can’t wait.

No, and no, lol.

Man! Talk about a upgrade in boats! I bet it’s nothing like your old one and you won’t miss her at all.

Good luck!

That’s the goal. I sure hope the weather is better this summer. Last summer it rained every weekend.

Doesn't sound like an AR if it has a stock shower....that would be an LS.

It won't slide like your old 230....the keel makes it track much better, and the chine walking when crossing wakes is nearly completely eliminated! The stock speakers will be the same as you old boat, unless its an LS, then it may have Polks. I dont think the AR comes with Polks...but "Sea Worthy" speakers....that are...sea worthy....as in ....drop them in the ocean as soon as you can! LOL

I saw this. It has a fresh water hookup in the clean out area

The fresh water fill connections under the clean out hatch are the connections for the engine cooling when the boat is out of the water, not for a fresh water shower.

It's a beer keg. I believe there is a kegerator conversion kit, right @Mainah ?

Ha. No kit in the future. Difficulty is not too bad but it is time consuming to install. No parts list with links since I had most of them on hand. As a quick update it is still working great. Bounced to Bimini and back with no issues and very little suds. The inverter pulls double duty powering a small ninja blender for virgin and and non-virgin frozen drinks. In a pinch the inverter also powers my boat lift if marina power happens to be out. https://jetboaters.net/threads/coolest-boat-mod-ever-literally-and-figuratively.16495/

Back to the OP question. These new ones do not slide around. I have owned two older two strokes that I loved turing into a top at wot once and a while. Try as I might just not possible with my 2016 242 LS. That gets old though and everyone else on board appreciates that I can’t spin it at wot. Stock speakers are still crud unless a newer x model. Models with a fresh water tank are for a transom shower. I concur that what @Marvin willis saw was a fresh water cooling/flush hookup.
