Ok guys, maybe a newbie question but I'm still learning. When I want to give my passengers (and myself) a thrill I take her up to 35mph and bank a hard turn, I'm sure you've all done it. My question is, when I do this the RPMS stay up but boat doesn't want to go anywhere after making the turn, I'm guessing it has something to do with the lack of water going through the impellar? Or is there something I can do in the menuver to prevent this?

Are you cavitating (engine hitting the rev limiter - wha-wha-wha sound) or just getting bogged down?

Hmm, if I were to guess I'm hitting the Rev limiter, is thay a normal thing?

When u really start to bite in the turn u need to add more power... it adds to the whole whip effect!
Makes sense, I probably get both hands on the wheel when I make the turn, I'll have to try that trick!

Bronze-_10 is right.. I did it this weekend and key was to be about 62:winkingthumbsup"00 rpms when turning and as you start to feel it bite floor it...

Start your turn somewhat wide and gentle then after 10 seconds, juice the throttles up while you turn the rest of the way very quickly. You'll need to start turning 2000-3000 rpm's under max rpm in order to leave enough after thrust while you jerk the wheel to one side.

Start with a slight left and then add full throttle and then turn it hard right. You're welcome in advance. Better hang on tho. My dog hates when I do it :). Also my wife.

Haha, I can't wait to try the new techniques. Even doing it a little wrong I've had people screaming and man you can feel the G's. Thanks alot for the replies, I will report back

Turn left until you understand that if you turn right you'll be tossed across the aisle onto your copilots a lap!

My wife hates loopy loos (as my son calls them) as well, I always turn so she is up against the port side so she doesn't tumble onto the floor, I find good footing on the edge of the ski locker lid so I don't tumble onto the floor:-)

It makes everyone pretty nervous in the boat when I strap myself into this seat:

Wife usually yells at me too. Kids usually end up on floor crying. There may be a correlation but i haven't figured it out yet.
