So I know they are a package deal but I have seen several 15 and 16's for sale used with no trailer. My question is if you bought with out a trailer how much of reduction should that be to the deal? With all the issues I have seen with the new trailers I think I would rather just upgrade right off the bat and start with a new custom trailer but just want to make sure the thought is worth it. I expect my custom trailer to be more then the mass produced one the boat comes with but if its only $1000 off the deal that is not worth it if it's $2500 or more it is.

I would agree with that estimate. The new trailer will probably be 3-4K depending on what route you go. I'd guess you could get $1,500 plus or minus for a brand new Shorelandr poc. $2,500 and not dealing with all the issues of the stock trailer sounds like a win.

I'm pretty sure when Mikey bought his boat he didn't get a trailer, but he's not with us any longer to answer any questions.

I'm having trouble getting quotes from trailer companies to replace mine.

Actually, Mikey bought his boat with the trailer, I don't think you have a choice, and he had his dealer sell the trailer for him.

Makes sense, I just remember him saying one time that he didn't have a trailer, was thinking it was him anyway.
