Is an "app" even possible? I use my phone about 99% of the time. Just thought it would be handy. Tap a button- on the site..

http://tapatalk.com/

Tap a Talk is the most popular forum mobile app. This site is decent on a mobile browser. Just bookmark the page to your home screen and it will look like an app...

Thats what I did on my ipad

Thanks @Detonate and @Cory , I had no idea I could do that, showing my age I guess...LOL, well no that I know I can I will have about 5 pages to scroll thru on my home page :D

I loaded tapia talk on my ipad and I created a link to this site on my home screen. I don't see this forum available when I am in tapatalk and select 'add forum'

@Detonate, How do you access this site in tapatalk?

@Bruce, what do you think? Any ability to add this forum to Tapatalk?

I can't imagine this site being any easier as an app than it already is, like others above said I just put a link on the home screen.

Tapatalk has come up several times. Primarily from members who use tapatalk to access content from multiple forums.

What I learned from looking into it is that;
  • Tapatalk introduces security issues that we do not want
  • Tapatalk does support Xenforo but does not support many of the extra features we have added
  • The responsive (resizing) interface that we are using for mobile viewing looks and works better than tapatalk
  • Members who use tapatalk on other forums have preferred our existing responsive interface once they tried it
I use the forum from my iPhone frequently so if I thought tapatalk was better I certainly would install it. Tapatalk is great for forums that do not automatically scale down for mobile browsing.

@Bruce, great background and I appreciate the summary. No need for Tapatalk

I did what @Detonate said about bookmarking, and moving to my home page, that's all I was looking for, it shows up like an app icon on my home screen and brings me to the forum home page...

Great idea...I just created and moved the icon to my home page....Thx @Detonate
