Headed to Cape Coral

Found a vrbo with a dock in Cape Coral for the last two weeks of December. Can’t wait for sunshine and being out on the water!
Are there any good tubing and/or boarding spots around Cape Coral? Saw a couple of notes about bull sharks in the area and are a little concerned about putting the tween on the board in any old patch of water (and that’s even before thinking about tides/currents, shallow reefs etc).
And recommendation for fishing guide services would be appreciated as well.
AND holler at me if anyone is going to be on the water and would like to grab a beer…

We were just across the river from there this summer at Marriott Sanibel Harbor, and had a blast! I highly recommend Barefoot Beach, and Naples Beach since you will be close by. The water is really shallow outside the channels around Cape Coral, so be careful. The fishing is great! I landed a big snook. We used Thinline Charters, and did some fishing in the Caloosahachee River, and out in the Gulf. There were people tubing, and doing water sports slightly off shore at Sanibel Island. Don’t know where you’re hauling from, but there are a few rental companies that have Yamahas in Cape Corral. If you want to try a different size of boat or if it makes $ sense.

Those rental companies should also be kind enough to provide you a navigation map even if you don’t rent from them.
