My name is Nate and I am a jetboataholic. I have been lurking around these forums trying to learn as much as I can from you guys. Unfortunately I am boat less but eventually I will be an extremely proud owner like yourselves. My amazing wife has given me the ok on a new Yamaha BUT we have to pay a few things off first which will put my purchase date around 2017. Believe me I am picking up every penny off the street to get that date closer but I have to pay off my stupid tax first. It wil be a long wait but worth it! I am in Wyoming where I have seen a few jet boats but not many. I would love to travel and meet fellow JBs when the day comes. Until then I hope to learn more from everyone and not so secretly admire your boats. See everyone in the forums!

Welcome......Dont lurk, be active and learn as much as you can while you are waiting to make your purchase.:Welcome:

I will participate as much as I can and ask questions when needed. When I get closer to "the" day I will be very active with questions for sure.

@Ntlange you have entered one of the best stages of jetboat ownership, the research stage. With that time frame you are looking at you will become more informed than almost any dealer and or owner you buy from. All working up to that first ear to ear smile pulling her home for the first time! I bought my boat from a forum member after reading for well over a year. Totally worth the wait.

We will surely post plenty of pics for you to live vicariously through us in the mean time.

Cheers and welcome!

Welcome Nate and good luck with your ownership journey. pay close attention to purchasing a Yamaha boat with higher hp engines if you're at higher elevation. Glad that you decided to join all the fun here!!!

Thanks for the info. Is it an option to get more hp for my altitude? I do know my local dealer will change the impellers for the altitude.

Welcome aboard! Have fun reading everyone's tips and making your mod list. Most Yamahas you would be looking at are the same HP. Just make sure you don't get a "4 star" or California emissions boat. There are lots of people here who boat at high altitudes.
