The wife and I were able to get out on the lake yesterday and found Illinois Creek. The water was a bit lower than the photos you posted, and it was a lot less busy but, there were a couple of boats there and it was very nice. Set a marker for it and will be back for sure! Thank you for the heads up on it.
So far we've been on Allatoona every time we've gone out. Launching from the Kellogg Creek ramp. Had a pretty easy time of it each time, no issues. Branching out this weekend though. Making a four-day weekend of it and getting a cabin with a wet slip on Carters lake. Not nearly as big as Toona. But, it should be a good time none the less.
We were planning on bringing the fishing stuff on this trip. Not a huge fisherman but, I do enjoy it. Several coworkers have been telling me about the Walleye population on Carters lake. Going to give it a shot. Fish or no fish, it'll be a day on the lake.
