Hello from Long Island, NY

Hello all,
Just wanted to introduce myself as say Hi. I'm Mike from Long Island, NY, a longtime PWC rider/owner (30+ years). As I get closer to 50, I think I've finally outgrown the PWC. I am looking to buy a new (or possibly new to me) boat and I'm leaning towards a jetboat. Chap/Vortex, Yamaha, Scarab, (in order of preference now, but it keeps switching). Such a tough decision, as I don't think any is the perfect boat. Each seems to have their pros and cons. Most likely will be waiting until after the NY Boat Show in January to purchase. With all the information on the forum, hopefully, it will help me reach the right decision.

Welcome aboard @Flip_5. We have plenty of members in your area. I would check out our member map, contact some of our folks in your area and ask if you can do a ride a long. That's a great way to make an educated decission and make some friends at the same time.

20 years on jet boats circling the island they are great in most areas the sea grass around ocean beach to the William Floyd bridge is a little bit of an issue but if you are familiar with jet skis you will know when they start to cavitate and need to be clered out. Expand your search try using search tempest and boat trader if you decide to go used and this site in the classifieds
