Née to the site and to jet boating... I have had jet skis but never a jet boat. Came across a deal on a 2008 sx230 with 30 hours on it.. couldn't pass it up and here I am. I am looking forward to gaining knowledge from the old jet boating hands here....

glad to have you on board, be sure to look at the FAQ/reference thread for lots of great DIY ideas,

if you change your own spark plugs be careful with number 3, it could be seized and break off in the head,
check your scupper valve as they have been known to be cracked/deteriorating
look into some cleanout plug locks, it's cheap insurance,

From Raleigh here....and boat primarily on Falls lake as my boat is at Rollingview marina on a lift, but get to Kerr and Gaston on occasion too! Be sure to put your location in your profile. Hello Julian... We live in the Raleigh / Wake Forest area. We will be on Falls lake primarily and I also want to explore Kerr and Gaston. I have owned a jet ski for several years and used it at Falls so we are very familiar with the lake... I look forward to seeing you on the water this summer!!

Mikey Lulejian, the boat already had Cobra steering fins installed on the jet drives. I am assuming there are similar.
