Anyone thought about installing some type of lock on the helm door? Just trying to think of ways to secure valuable amps and electronics. I know it's accessible through the bow seat, but it's difficult to climb through that way.

@MattFX4 , here is a link to my 1st yr upgrade thread on yjb, page four specifically which contains pics of the cam locks, among other things, I bought and installed.

Although the helm is not fully secure as you mention because of the pass through to the bow seat, I think it's worth putting a lock on if that is where you are installing expensive items like amps.

The head compartment is much more secure and if I could do it again I'd install two cams locks on that door. You have a newer model boat so maybe there is a drop in locking replacement for you doors handle.

A few other compartments that may be secured are the anchor locker, floor locker and cleanout compartment. I used the latches on page 3. None of these things will make the compartments theft proof but they should slow a would be thief down or reduce crimes of opportunity.
