HELP! dealer is telling me this engine is a 300 but doesn't hit over 43 MPH

Hi

Was going to buy this 2021 Scarab 195 it (not sure if it's an ID dealership says it is)

Dealership is telling me it is a 300HP but haven't proved it yet and in the sea trial it wont go over 43 with two people on board.

I don't want it if it isn't a 300, I know the later models they stamp '300' in red letters.

Looks like a 300 to me. Top speed in optimal conditions is 45 to 48 mph. If there's wind, waves, gear, full fuel, etc. 43 seems about right.

How sure are you Luc? How can you tell? I own seadoo jet ski's one is a 230 and one is a 300, and the motors looks the same.

I have found other 2021 Scarab 195 that are 300's and they have the 300 stamped on the valve cover in red like this:

Because the 170 and 230 were not options in 2021. It was either 200 or 250 which were the 1500 engines which don't look like the one in the pic at all. Therefore it only leaves the 300 as the option which is indeed an ACE engine. I own a SeaDoo GTX 230. Yes they look the same.

It has to be the 300.
