Hey everyone,

New member here. Thanks to everyone for all the great information that I have found here over the past month.

So, it is down to the nitty gritty for me. Here are my choices..
2015 AR190 for 30k OTD
2016 AR190 for 34k OTD
2015 AR192 for 34k OTD
2016 AR192 for 38k OTD

I am losing my mind trying to decide. My gut is telling me to go with the 2015 AR192. If anyone has any opinion or input at all...I would love to hear from you. I appreciate all the help. Thanks again !

Keith

Where are you located Keith? There is a member on here with a 2011 AR240HO with less then 50 Hours in TX for $36K. . . . . Is there a specific reason you are looking for a 19' beyond size. Make sure you don't end up like this guy:

I am on the Jersey Shore. Funny, I read that post. I know what everyone talks about there. Right now the budget does not let me go with anything bigger, unless I go used. Too many choices! :)

Go bigger and go used. Let someone else take the hit. Otherwise in a year or two itll be you taking the hit to get into something larger.

That is hard...
If you do not worry about fuel usage and range (which is pretty bad for 192), I have to say the 2016 AR192s are some of the best looking boats out there, with the new tower design and color schemes. The interior is also WAY nicer that what it was or is in 190s.

You will ALWAYS want a bigger, or a better, or a different boat. Get the best you can reasonably afford and handle. Every boat is a big compromise.

If you want bigger, and budget is an issue. . . .there are plenty of great used boats barely broken in, in your price range. Let someone else take the MSRP beating. Nothing worse then 2ft-itis.

Take a ride in a 212x or SS as well as a 192 series and then decide. You can get a used, well cared for 212ss or 212x for $21K-28K. If you really want new, I like your choice of the Ar192 but that is IMO and based on how I use a boat. You may not like the limited fuel/mileage though as you look to go up and down the shore.

If you are doing water sports, go 192 over 190; much better pulling power off the line while loaded. I love my 192, but I wish I would have gone bigger. 212x is the way I wish I had gone.

I have a nice 2015 AR192 I will sell you for $29k. :)

Hi there,
Which dealer are you talking to? I got my 2016 AR190 in March for 30,5K out the door at Toms River Marine. DJ was my sales person. I was also looking at 2015 but improvements for 2016 (articulating keel, forward swept tower, new graphics) made this choice very easy. Yamaha still has great 2.99% financing. Good luck!

Hey, I was there last week. They were not willing to give me as good of a deal as surf city marina.

But, now after all these other ideas, I'm thinking about getting something bigger used. When we checked out the 192..there was a 242 next to it. My wife loved the bigger size. (I know I'm leaving the door open with that statement). So..I'm still torn on what to do. Thanks to everyone for the help!

Yeah, my friend picked up used 2015 242 Limited S for $42K!!

In the one instance where size matters, and you have the option to buy bigger. . . .Never leave your wife yearning for something more . . . . .
