Hey Guys, I’m new to Yamahas, recently purchased a 2003 SR230. I’ve been slowly working out all the kinks and recently found my drain plug housing was leaking. After taking the housing out I found some goodies lying inside the drain. I found one piece that I have no clue what it is or does. Thanks for the help I know a couple of you guys on here will have no problem identifying it.

And this was all the way down in the bilge, right by the drain plug? I don't recognize the part, but it somewhat appears to be a "bumper" of sorts. It looks like it's designed to where the long skinny stem would be inserted through a hole, and the tapered "arrowhead" section would be what keeps it there once it's pulled through??? I have an 06, so design might be different, but I'm fairly certain none of my doors or lids have anything like that.... you got me curious, so now I'll have to be diving into my engine compartment this evening...
