Starboard engine shutdown. Will crank but not start. Port engine starts fine. Any ideas?

I'd try:
-Pulling the lanyard off and on again a few times to ensure it it seated properly
-mess with the clean out hatch buttons to see if it isn't fully depressed.

Yep. I did that also. Going to try again in the morning. Made it back to the marina safely and need a drink. Lol

What were the water conditions, waves or glass at the time of shutdown? X2 on what @Julian mentioned above. You may have a safety kill switch alignment issue or a worn lanyard clip.

Smooth waters. Have checked the clean switch multiple times and the kill switch.

Those are the usual problems. To be sure you can swap the switches to see fi the problem moves.

Sorry I am late to the party.. Troubleshooting the lanyard and clean out hatch switches is a straightforward proposition. The electrical connector on the lanyard can simply be disconnected and for the clean out hatches you can swap the connectors in the engine bay and if you start having problems with your port engine you know it's a switch.

his timing chain blew

Also it sounds stupid but make sure the throttle is in neutral I have had that happen.

it is the chain
