@help Starboard engine won’t start - on Lake Tapps WA

We are out on the water on Lake Tapps WA and the starboard engine won’t light up. Throttles are in neutral and I checked the clean out port kill switches.

Port side consistently starts, starboard started at initially at the launch but after shutting off the engine for lunch it didn’t want to start. Eventually did start after 10 or so attempts.

We are stopped again and anchored and it won’t start.

Any ideas?
 
Does it crank over?
If it does nothing try swapping key plugs behind the dash.
I had a key switch give me an issue. After swapping it the problem moved to the other engine.

It does not crank over. The motor warning light flash like it’s about to crank but does not crank over.
 
I just tried starting 10 times and the 10th time it lit right up. Seems electrical to me.
 
The clean out port switches are finicky sometimes it seems. The other thing I would check is the batteries. When I bought my boat it had dual batteries, but each engine was wired to one battery. One battery went bad due to age, and that engine would not start without the other engine being on and charging the system up some.
 
I know this sounds crazy but did you happen to run the boat hard for long period prior to stopping for lunch and if so did you run the blowers? Reason I ask is a similar hard start effect can happen on these boats if running the boat hard for long periods of if running a lot of weight for ballast or large crew size and then not running the blower. Some people have also tried putting a wet towel on the fuel lines in case of a vapor lock issue. Not saying this is your cause but just saying it has happened to people I know. For whatever reason the issue wouldn’t happen near as much if using the blower.

Nope we were in no wake mode putting around for about 30 minutes then stopped. I bet it’s the battery. We just got park at home and I’ll check it out shortly. Thanks for the tip though I’ll try to learn more about that!
