Hey guys, enjoying the day on the water and I have a engine overheating. It’s not spitting out water so I’m 99% something is blocking the water intake... where in the hell is it pulling water from? I can see? Thanks!

There is a screen on the inside of the nozzle on the side that sucks water in make sure it's clear of crap.

First, check your water depth. I have had this problem when I bottomed out the boat loading it with people.

Intake grates are forward the jets on either side, straight shot.

I just pulled my boat home from lake Norman where r u at.

Ok, to clarify between me and @Weeb: The water intake is forward the jets on the bottom of the boat. But they are large--if something is covering them, it would need to be a plank of wood or something. The water comes in there, goes through the impeller, out the jets. On the side of the jets is the screen to which he refers, which is the intake to the cooling system. check both...

It's that plate that takes pressurized water from inside pump. Take the back off and u will see it

Saved once again! Thanks guys for all the fast responses, we’re back up and running! Great site, great people! Many thanks!!!

I'm guessing you had something (debris) blocking your water intake in the jet pumps? Small white piece inside the pumps pictured above.

Yeah, don't leave us hanging... What was it? :)

Yeah actually never really found what it was. I was down there jus touching everything and may have knocked whatever loose. Water is spitting consistently on both now. Thanks again to all!

All it takes is a clump of leaves, plastic bag/wrapper, etc to block those little holes. Glad you're up and going.

Ah, the old, 'give it a minute and it will fix itself' technique. Very effective. Only trumped by the 'run the bejeezus out of it' technique of clearing out the jets. Nicelly done.
