just picked up my baby - excited to learn - this is my first boat!

Welcome aboard @karstman7 ! Congrats on the new boat and look forward to your posts! Be sure to update your profile with your zip code to load you into the member map and give guys an idea of where you boat, so that answering questions or conversing will be easier. Welcome once again!

Hey @karstman7 ! Welcome here. So glad you've joined us. :Welcome:
We love photos and you got yourself a KILLER boat.
Wishing you a wonderful 2015 Boating Season - Mikey Lulejian - Lake Oconee, GA

glad to have you on board, are you familiar with 2 strokes? one of the first things you should do is make sure the oil lines have been upgraded

Congrats and welcome to the Forum!

Congrats @karstman7 on the new boat and welcome to the site.

I agree with @Scottintexas, there's a few minor things to check on All used boats. But overlooking the oil lines on the two strokes can have massive consequences if they fail. So make sure to give those a look. There was also something about the exhaust/water boxes that can cause damage to the hull if some dampeners are missing. But I'm not sure if that would apply to your model. Anyway, I'm sure guys that have/or currently own your exact model will have better advice on exactly what to look for.

Welcome!

Thanks everybody for the warm welcome! I've always used forums to learn about and customize my cars - thinking my experience will be the same here!
Regarding the oil lines - I mentioned it to my local Yamaha shop and they gave me a strange look and said "they would check them" but I ordered a replacement line kit from island racing and will tackle it myself. Thanks for the heads up! Jealous of some of the nice boats on here!
