I feel ya. I was supposed to have back surgery 7/2 but postponed it to salvage the 1st summer with the boat.
I hope everything went as planned and that healing is swift.

It's hard to find a good time. I've been putting it off forever. Just had it done yesterday and I'm pretty mobile already, but it will be a while before I'm on the boat and in the water.

good luck!

they said I would be off the boat for 3 months. I cant have that. Unacceptable! So winter is the best time for surgery. lol
If I may ask, what did you have done?

I had a spinal fusion. But the way I had it done, they go through your stomach, insert a wedge between my slipped discs and bolt them to the wedge.

move heard nothing but good things about this way of doing it.

That seems more severe than my bulging disc that they want to snip off. My Dr. did mention fusion down the road.

I avoided it at all costs. Did physical therapy, edpidural injections, nerve blocks, burned the nerves off, spinal chord stimulator.... all offered some temporary relief, but nothing "fixed" the problem..... so here I am.

Same here. Injections keep me going at the moment, but surgery is coming in September whether I am ready or not.
I wish you a speedy recovery.

Nice shots (the boat not the back).

I was there last week!
