So, Yamaha sent me an customer opinion survey that had me look at and rate a whole bunch of graphics designs and color schemes on 24ft boats. Here's a pic of a boat from the survey.

RX240.jpg

I immediately notice that it's decal says "RX240". Are we being given a hint at a new model? Possibly a rebranding to the AR package with a X/LS tower and absolve themselves of the current potential liability of the AR240 tower?

Huh....looks like the keel got removed too! Although the connecting bar appears to be there....

Maybe the RX is their "Racing" version and they put in twin supercharged engines, removed the keel and the ski locker and put another 50 gallons of gas storage into it so it could go more than 100 miles on a tank!

I didn't even notice that... interesting!

That would be AMAZING!

Yea I noticed the keel and rudder missing too in this recent thread about the surgery Anyone else get the survey on new colors and graphics from Yamaha?

Also what the heck is that thing under the nozzle????

Also noticed tinted windows but maybe that's just for effect but it sure looks tinted. I know my boat has a blueish kind of glass compared to other models.

Guess I'm late to the party and missed the discussion already underway...

Maybe they just left the steering tie-rod while photo shopping the keel out?

 The windows do appear tinted... I can dig it!

Yea I guess it could just be a poor photoshop by Yamaha but you'd think the higher ups signing off on the marketing and survey would say "Hey where the hell is the keel/rudder that we heavily marketed since it's creation?". Maybe it's an intern :D

I already posted the models for 2019. Nothing new. I have been getting my info at this time for years and never been wrong.

I have gotten this survey 2-3 times over the past couple years and if my memory is correct, they always say RX240 on the boat graphics

Yep. @ACRDSPORT14 has had been spot on.
Those surveys are silly.

So, not this year. Most likely next. I've now heard from two (soft) sources they have a 27' with twin SVHOs in early production.
I, for one, would not be interested as I find 24' good enough. Also not too keen on likely pricing and fuel consumption implications. But it would be a hoot to drive, I'm sure!

Yup...by this time of year the dealers pretty much know what is coming...although with the FSH...it was introduced out of their normal cycle in Jan. at the Miami boat show....so you never can tell! LOL (just to stir up the discussion and keep some hope alive!)

I got the same survey. Some of the new colors look terrific. I screenshotted my favorites. I noticed the RX as well.

Like a bag of skittles. It would be nice to see a Yamaha boat that has an upper deck color and cockpit in something other than white.

It has been hinted this could happen again as I was told there could be a possible unveiling in Jan/feb but I would imagine you wouldn’t see any hit dealerships till the following model year as the pics I saw still looked like a prototype test model

Post the spy pics @robert843 !

I can't people would lose jobs and possibly be murdered as what I saw came from an inside source. To be honest I didn't even keep them because I knew I could not be trusted to not share them.

I’ve always thought the same thing. The white upper decks are getting old. The pricier these things get they need to allow for some customization.

I would think that anything other than a white upper deck would simply result in more heat (especially down south)....might be ok for northerners, but I want white-cool surfaces! I hate that my headrests are black...dumbest color ever for an outdoor seating material color...looks cool....but is HOT as heck in NC!

That grey and orange color combo is killer! I told them on the survey I'd trade my blue '17 for it next year, if they'd build it. At the same time, my wife would likely trade me for another husband too.
