Looks a lot like the Mercury jet outboards.

But Fonda ain't got a motor in the back of her Honda?

Interesting concept

I had no idea that this was a thing at all for outboards!
Our jet boating brothers and sisters in the North West and Alaska use those all the time. That is all they do.
I see a lot of outboard jets on my river here, too, mostly small jon boats.

This Arkadelphia, Arkansas fire crew from just south of me volunteered to help in Houston and put their outboard jet to good use.

Very neat. Oops, and I thought you were talking about this one.

I think that is great news. Honda makes great engines

Does that mean we will be able to wake surf behind Jet Powered outboard boats? mmmmm:cool: That could be another whole animal and open the door for a lot of possibilities...... Interesting to see where it goes..I know the jet powered outboards have been around for a while, but wake surfing is the #1 growing water sport..looking forward to see if it goes anywhere..

Not saying it’s not possible, but a few things working against a good surf wave and a jet powered outboard. I’m sure somebody will try it, but motor position in wake, hp to ballasted out boat ratio, depth of jet, nozzle wash...this experiment would require a lot of beer to figure out.:D

Imagine someone wake surfing behind a jet outboard and then the driver decides to trim up! Blast right to the face among other sensitive areas....OUCH! Having flashbacks to the Yamaha body orifice vs jet warning sticker :D
