I have read about 1 pound propane canisters leaking. My understanding is that when they leak on a boat the propane goes down and can fill the bilge. That can result in an explosion.
Last year I kept two propane canisters in the boat under a seat. One was used multiple times and the other was new. I never thought about them leaking so I was not concerned.
This year I bought some screw on brass caps that I will use to reseal the in use propane canister.
If we had a high rail I would likely use a hanging bag like sail boats do.
I have considered using a plastic tub as a locker for them or even an ammo can.
So, who has suggestions?
Thanks
