I am curious what our experience level is....

Third Yamaha. My first boat was a 99 Exciter. Super fun and fast but stinks on a rough day. Then got a LX2000 for more room and better ride. Now with our 09 212SS. Much better ride, love the 4 stroke motors, great storage and still looks sharp.

Well, got a wild hair and sold the boat! But...plenty of time tinkering and enjoying it! Grew up with boats. Everything from 17' outboard runabout to 21' SeaRay open bow. Have owned as an adult, a Stratos fish/ski, a StingRay 20' open bow, and a cruiser, 36' Trojan Tri-Cabin. The last one made me stay away from boats for 10 years! But the yammi was a great boat and could do 100% of anything with it/to it. I should have my head examined for selling it.

2nd Jet boat....bought our first in 2003 (LX210), moved up to a 230 in 2007.

ROFLMAO...maybe I should be leery too!:wacky:

I've only owned jets.

First in 1991 two Kawasaki 550sx Jet Skis
Next a 1995 Sea Doo SPX
Then a Sea Doo Sportster 1800 Jet Boat
Currently (since 2008) I own a 2007 Yamaha AR210

Sx210 in 2008, sold it and a month later got the AR240. Had a four wins back in the day too...

First time boat owner, bought a 212X in 2009 because my wife liked the layout and thought the wake tower looked cool. We are our 6th season now and love more every year.

Is the poll closed? Can't seem to vote. For us, four years. Bought a leftover '09 in the spring of '10.

Very first boat was in 1970, a 16' Lyman with a 35 horse Johnson outboard. Had it for two years up in Marblehead Sandusky at my parents trailer.
went a good many years without and always wanted to get back into boating.

Started out with the 1998 Exciter, had it three years, 2002 - 2005
Second jet boat was the 2000 LS2000 and had it for the next three years, 2005 - 2008
Third jet boat and still have is the 2004 SX230 which I plan on having for many more years, 2008 - present.

I was brought up on Lake Erie and enjoyed most of my life on it. I always pay it the respect it deserves and it's always showed me a great time.
For anyone that has not participated in the gathering of friends on the water, it's hard to understand what the draw is but once you do,
your hooked for life.

First Yamaha and I've owned it for 6 years. I still get curious looks and questions every time I take it out.

I kinda followed DCB 270 - Dans path. First an Exciter which was, by far, the most fun boat I have ever owned. Next an LS 2000 and now an SR 210. Wouldn't have anything other than a jet boat.

Exciter are by FAR the most fun boat on the lake, as long as the water is smooth.
I always love the way Group K describes the Sleeper Exciter.
Exciter 270
If you want the fastest, quickest, and most vicious of all the Yamaha jet-boats…this is it. The modified 270 accelerates off the turns with an authority that can yank off your sunglasses, and cause your passengers to “hang on for dear life”. The modified 270 can still cruise nicely, and easily pull any tow toy you have. But if you decide to run it pinned, it is a serious water weapon that demands your undivided attention….The Sleeper 270 delivers response and excitement that is unmatched by any other jetboat.

Dan you are correct, my exciter was a 270 and I believe it was the fastest boat I had ever driven.
65mph of fun in the sun.
they new what they were doing when they named it the Exciter

Actually it will be a year in June. Had an old Bayliner before that. My Dad and uncles owned Sea Rays when I was growing up.

I may have cheated saying 9 years. That is how long I owned the Honda Aquatrax. It's still a boat!!! But as far as the SX210 its been 4 1/2 years. Both the ski and the boat have been superbly reliable.

since July 21st of 2007.
