How long is the area behind the back seat rest on the transom

I am looking at adding some RGB LED strips to the area behind the back seats on the transom. Can anyone tell me how long the area behind the backrest is. My boat is in storage about 90 miles away and I want to order the strips prior to going down and working on my boat this weekend. I assume an 18 inch strip would be perfect, but don't recall for sure.

Not sure on the exact measurement on a 230 but you probably only need 8-10 inches of light back there no matter what the measurement is
 
The strips I used were prewired. There is a link to the strips in the thread I referenced above.
