So I just sold my SX210 and ready to go buy a new 212 Limited. I like the look of the limited s but not sure if I can fit it in my garage with the tower down.

My garage has an 8’ door but the standard height with tower down is approx 8’5”. I know that the safety cables can be lengthen/ removed to allow the tower to fold a little lower because a friend has done this with his AR195 to allow it to fit in a 7’ garage. Is this something anybody has done with the a 21’ boat? Can anybody confirm if it will fit with the tower down after removing the cables?

Thanks!

Iirc someone has done it. I think they had to lower tongue way down and push it in or something as well. Hopefully someone in the know chimes in

Thanks for the reply! I guess I should also add that I live in florida and less than 5 min from the water so I need it to be a simple process. I know some with deflate tires, even heard of people removing the tires and putting the trailer on dollies. Makes sense if it’s going away for a long winter. I’m hoping somebody has removed the limiting cables and knows that total height. Thank you!

It will barely fit in an 8' door opening if you remove the tower cable stop washers. That is what @GoVols01 did to his 212X.

You can also let a lot air out of the tires to roll it past the door, then re-inflate them inside. Gets you a couple inches right there

It Fit!!

So I came up with a very simple and cheap solution for propping the tower up with the safety cables disconnected. 2” pvc, 2 large pvc shower drains, a cheap door mat and some spray adhesive. Took all of about 10 min to make. I like it because it is fully water proof, lite, and portable. If needed I can just throw it in the ski locker.

For me the magic height was 34.5” total for the stand which allows me to fit in a garage with a 94” opening. Hope this helps!
