I’m contemplating selling my 2016 242 limited s e series. 75 hours. Spare on trailer. Sea deck. Exile audio speakers and towers. Garmin nav and fishfinder. Underwater leds. Mooring cover. Dual battery charger with exterior plug. Other stuff I’m sure. Boat looks great. What do you think a fair asking price would be. Looking to maybe buy a dedicated wake boat over winter. 50/50 on selling.

I just checked Nada for its value. Once you reach 74 hours their value drops like a rock. Being that we all are friend here though I will come get it off your hands. You don’t need to have to deal with the problem of trying to sale a practically brand new boat.

What color is she??? Cause if she's the right color then, well I'd be willing to take it off your hands for say....$20,000 or so, but you' have to pay for my gas up and back to take that boat off your hands...:winkingthumbsup":p
Just kidding the NADA says a good range is from $41200 to $47000

Lol. Has powered sub with controller mounted under wheel and zone controller for speakers. Not looking to get crazy amount. Just looking for suggestions for reasonable price.

Ok. I guess I could have looked there. Thanks.

Maple red. Makes it faster also. Also have the monster swivel racks for wakeboard and surfboard.

Forgot it has cobras and lateral thrusters as well.

Just sold my maple red 2016 limited s e series for 51k. Had 82 hours on it. There aren’t many used 242’s for sale in the Midwest. Had thrusters, fins, seadek and a few other add ons. I thought I did alright. Location and timing are everything sometimes for boat sales. Good luck selling! Our family is going the tri toon route. They are taking over our lake here. Found a Bennington with a 502 I/O 425 hp.

Look for comps near you and price according to condition. If you want to sell before end of season price aggressively and list fast. It will soon be cold up north.

I would say rule of thumb is Nada value plus 50% of the value of your mods

It depends on how bad you want the new boat.

45-47k seems pretty fair.
41k and it’s gone in 2 days
50k it may take a month or longer.
Obviously you want as much as possible, just depends on how many deals you want to entertain and have fall through.
I almost got a 16 242 limited for 43k, but it was just out of my price range and sold before I could move on it.

$50k is what I'd ask. And I'd take $42k. Then put that down on a tow boat. What boat are you looking at?

Want to see the new Moomba Kaiyen and check it out during boatshow season. Like the Max a lot. Lots of choices out there. I would like to sell instead of trade in obviously.

@robert843 What say you?

Lol rather not say but my 2017 ar240 has 3 offers of 45k I would say yours is worth more closer to 50k. @swatski I plan to promote my boat on the next youtube video hoping that will raise the value.

50 would be nice. Gotta decide soon if I want to list it. Running out of time here near Cincinnati.

List it for 52 and see if anyone bites,
I recommend listing it on Craig’s list and do multiple listings, and list it in surrounding areas as well.

Decided to sell. Boat is up for sale in classifieds now. Thanks for your advice. Mastercraft dealer offered me 45,000 for trade in on a used 2017 x23. Would rather sell for more if possible and keep options open for row boat.

I wouldn't price it for a dollar under 55K. People are nuts in here saying to price in low-mid 40s. I've a 2017 Limited S (year newer but not quite as nice) and I probably wouldn't entertain any price under 52. Trouble is you're getting to the end of the good selling season (already past it up north), so you'd probably be better off keeping it until March.
