How to quiet engine noise?

I have a 2014 212SS. I'm looking for suggestions on how to get a quieter ride. I purchased sound insulation material from Jetboat Pilot and placed a piece to cover fuel tank compartment, but alot of the engine noise resonates from under flooring and bow seating. When you tap on the compartments the resonate like drums, so it's no wonder why the engines vibration causes so much noise. Another issue /concern is the sound insulation getting wet and holding moisture creating a mold and mildew situation.
If anyone has had any success with the noise problem and can offer advice, it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

Check out post #10 int he thread above - I've been using old ballast bags/bladders filled with air to insulate rear compartments - those cut a LOT of engine noise.
There are a lot of other threads on soundproofing... My boat is probably one of the quietest 240 on the water out there, but it was massive amount of work and some of the materials are expensive. Engine hatch seal is a good example of an inexpensive soundproofing mod that works.

SOme of the best results for me where with the polyurethane foam, but it is a PIA work, and also best done after you have laid out most electrical /ballast plumbing etc. mods you are planning.
