I have a ultra250 with what I thought was bearing issues. Turns out it was pump swelling. Don't have the money right now due to lawyer bills so it's done for the year. It was cranked in salt water and can't flush motor. Advice?

Remove the impeller and flush the engine with fresh water though a common garden hose.

Never mind. I put the pump together to run salt free through it. Sounds like crap but works

That's the way it was and the coupler was shaking too much. I was worried about bending the crank.

You could have hooked up to the cooling line that usually comes from the pump ,

no, run the motor just like the pump was on it. All you need is a way to connect to the hose like a hose barb etc, since you are running water in you must have the engine running.

You checked the pump bearings ??
It sure sounds like the same issues I had with mine.

I thought that was the problem so I upgraded to the 300x bearing set up. Was a needed upgrade anyway. I rebuilt the motor with 260 heads due to the flaws with the 250 design and put R&d supercharger wheel and idler pulley. I think if I get this jet pump issue under control maybe I'll have a decent ski (keeping my fingers crossed)
