I was doing some research today about my Solix units’ gps receiving capabilities ahead of installing my hard top.
The Solix unit has an internal gps antenna, and is tied to GPS 1 in the unit. If you are going to flush mount this unit or in my case put a hard top on, a remote GPS antenna is required, https://humminbird.johnsonoutdoors....n/gps-hs-external-gps-receiver-heading-sensor as well as a an adapter part# AS ETS NMEA to connect it to the Solix MFD.
Once connected, change the GPS input in the settings to GPS 2 to make this the primary GPS.
