should I take my mooring cover off and just let the boat get wet ? Im in central Florida where we are expecting only tropical storm winds.... Thanks

I’d ratchet it down tightly, and try to point the bow into the wind. I tow at 75 mph with the mooring cover on, so it should handle a pretty strong head wind. Maybe place some padding on the top of the support poles, like a towel or something. It’s kind of a toss up. You don’t want the poles falling over and tons of water pooling up on the cover either. Let us know what you decide, and how it works out.

I left mine on. I'm in a storage yard too. Just hoping for the best.

I left mine on and ratcheted down the boat to ground anchors.

If the poles give way, something like this will save your back, neighbor gave me his old one for draining his pool when he moved and it worked so much easier than any kind of siphoning method.

We got pretty lucky at the house here, lots of wind but not much else. Not sure about the boat yet.

Hope everyone is doing well today. Orla do got flooded a lot more than I expected.

just checked on the boat All's good here in central florida! lots of water came through the cover but that will dry off. thankful for the easy night , prayers for those in harms way

I'm in the Tampa area just got power back within the last 30 min. Way faster than I thought, super excited.

Ian has passed and left Fall in it's wake.
The temperatures were in the low 90's. This morning it was 65.
