I have a slip that is well covered that initially had a SeaRay Suncruiser in it. I recently purchased a 2014 SX210 and was hoping to move it down to the slip soon. My lift is an 8800 lb hydrohoist with 2 bunks 14 feet long. When I measure the back bunks on the SX210 trailer they are spaced around 50 inches from center to center with this setting placing the bunks even between the 1st and 2nd ribs/strakes. I didn't use the measurement from the front 2 trailer bunks (closer together and medial to all the ribs/strakes) on the trailer due it appearing to cross into the intake grate aspect of the boat if my bunks were adjusted to this.
I have adjusted my lift bunk spacing to this 50 inches on the front and back end of the bunk but am now wondering if I should make a different adjustment before bringing the boat down. Measuring from the bottom of the lift bunks to the crossbeam on the lift appears to be an 11 inch difference and measuring from the bottom of my stern to the bottom of the trailer bunk is 7 inches so I am anticipating a ~4 inch clearance on the stern aspect of the boat. What is unclear to me is if there will be less clearance going towards the bow aspect of the boat or would it be anticipated to be the same amount of clearance.
Any experience/recommendation in this case is greatly appreciated.
