I had No Idea that we could harvest energy from Ethiopians, but according to Bill Gates it can be done!

I'm headed over to the Greyhound station right now to pick up a couple dozen!

LOL. So now, according to Bill Gates, I should feel bad because I have a refrigerator that consumes more energy annually than 9 persons living in abject poverty? Sorry, I'm keeping the refrigerator. I don't strive to emulate third world countries in terms of energy consumption. :D

Just imagine how many Ethiopians in gas your boat uses each weekend!

No kidding. I could probably fit at least 15 of them in my ski locker, though.

Exactly!
This was his Tweet this morning:

For years, I took energy for granted. That’s before I started traveling to poor countries: http://b-gat.es/VoJL1H

OK Mr. Billionaire of Billionaires, How many homes do you have again? Got a refrigerator in each one I'll bet, huh?

It's funny to me that he should Tweet that this morning...I was speaking with my wife just yesterday about how our 20 year old refrigerator (which works like a champ) should probably be retired for a new one that uses less energy. The last time we attempted to buy a new refrigerator our dog needed knee surgery, so there went the 3k I had saved for the new appliance.

But now I'll just snag a couple of Ethiopians til we can afford a new one!

There seems to be an ongoing theme out there where people are attempting to make poverty into a noble state of being... maybe they're just trying to pre-condition us so we won't revolt TOO bad when all the bills come due.

It is more widespread than we thought!

You know... I really like my keyboard. It's kind of old-school so finding a replacement would be tough.

Sometimes I take a sip of water while eating my lunch and reading this forum.

My point is:

YA GOTTA WARN ME BEFORE YOU DO SOMETHING LIKE THAT!!!

:D:D:D:D
