As much as I am a fan of electric motor driven things...basically because of the torque - admittedly not because of saving gas or money or trees (I do love trees though) I really, really like the sound of a properly tuned big block, fossil fuel burning monster when I stomp the accelerator.

The very first thing that smacked me in the face when I took the helm of the Yamaha AR230 was the blender. No, not the type of blender you use to make margaritas, the two mo-mo's tucked in back that make the boat go "Whirrrrrrrrr, whirrrrrrrr" a high pitched noise that makes the wife yell even louder at you - you all know what I'm talking about.

I heard that in Japan they had to decide what noise the Prius should make, because it was too quiet and people were getting run over because they didn't hear a car coming.

I want one of those gizmos that can make my boat sound, well, like a motor boat should.

I'm gonna hire these guys to make a sound for me:

That is great! They need to work on the trail off sound after acceleration, the lion has a deeper rumble than they captured! But those guys are good!

Fyi
Straight exhaust is loud as heck, marginally deeper and gains nothing in speed

In 1986, I bought the first year of the Acura Legend, it was a great sounding engine, deep and throaty for a V6, but it was the quietest car I had every had up until then. Still probably quieter by far than the cars we drive today. But when you stepped on it, it growled!

I'm pretty sure I read that BMW's run engine sounds through the speakers as well. Something about the engine couldn't be heard inside the cabin so they make it sound like it's cool.

Exhaust note is a very important.
1 of my favorite motorcycles has been my vtwin Aprilia. Not because it's been the best 1, it's not even the best in my stable - just because that vtwin sounds EVIL and makes me grin every time.

What you're looking for can only be achieved one way...

@bucks448 That is hilarious! We are sitting here laughing, plotting our next move!
