I have 1GIG up/dn at my house and the site use to be super fast with images, but lately they have been super slow.

100mb here and loading super fast
Cable has awesome ping times of 16-17ms here as well. I game so it's important.

When did it start?

I wonder if it is a routing issue between your ISP and Digital Ocean? Could you post a traceroute to JetBoaters.net ?

For my area, I have the "mid grade" internet but Comcast just offered 2000mb service.
 
And I have no idea what any of that means. I'm just here lie well I get to see pictures of boats what the rush. o_O
