So maybe I am not the sharpest tool in the shed.....

I had my boat pretty dialed in, and therefore was only checking the other site sporadically. But recently I wanted some answers about something, and posted. As I looked around the thread, I was wondering, "where are all my friends?...Who are these guys?...." and especially..."Where is MEL?"

Better late than never, I found my community again. I guess I was a little clueless about all the politics, etc.

In any respect...I am glad I found you all again! This is my new hangout.

UTAHRD

-Jon from Utah

p.s. I took a picture of Julian's camper enclosure to a fabricator and said "duplicate this". I am picking up the boat tomorrow. Can't wait to show you all the new enclosure basd on Julian's awesome model.

p.s. lots to share and lots of advice still needed.

Welcome Back!

Welcome, glad you made it over he're!!!!

@utahrd Howdy Jon! I am very glad you found us! I actually called the numbers I had on record for you when we made the move to jetboaters.net. I didn't get anywhere with the staff to try and talk to you. And...I have quoted you and your camper launching a Powell a number of times here. Glad to have you on board! You will find all the same knowledge and attention given here that you were accustomed to Jon, just glad you found us!

Glad you found us finally! And can't wait to see how your camper cover comes out! We'll want to see pictures!!! If you use a PC to post....you can just drag and drop them in the text box and voila...they will upload!

Welcome to your new hang out! No petty BS here, just good old fashion camaraderie.

Cheers!

Welcome aboard @utahrd glad you found us and decided to join. Same players just on a much nicer field!! Make sure to post pics of your camper enclosure.

Welcome and I look forward to seeing some pics of those salmon.

Welcome Home!

LOL, I bet you recognize a few of the screen names @utahrd , some of them were changed, but many of us maintained our old handles. When we went live, we had about 80% of the actively posting group come on board, and we have grown from there, and will continue to grow. Like @itsdgm said, better field, better equipment, better rules, of the member, for the member, by the member! I know your busy, but visit often and share your adventures...I still want to make it out to Powell in this lifetime! I would love to know more about your Class A as I think that would be the best way to make it to Powell. Are you going to pull the boat with the MH up to BC?

I can say that pulling the boat behind the motorhome IS the best way to do Powell, or any other lake for that matter. A place for all your toys, a kitchen, a bathroom, a place to rest, inexpensive lodging....etc.

Yes, we are going to pull the boat with the Motorhome to British Columbia. I have already made the trip several times with motorhome pulling our Jeep grand cherokee (and my sea kayaks on top of the car). It is a great trip where we stop along the oregon coast, the washington coast, and ultimately vancouver island. Its a hoot driving your motorhome onto a ferry! My family and I are "do it yourself fishing fanatics". Believe it or not, our boats are VERY CAPABLE fishing boats once you mod it out for fishing. the swim deck makes it easy.

Here are some pics of our sea bounty from last year....

My wife is a really good sport and beautiful woman..... Also an awesome clam-digger, crab catcher, and fisherwoman.

My sx230 has the following: rod holders for and aft, twin downriggers, chartplotter fishfinder, washdown pump, and now, an enclosure.

Don't give it a second thought. I was slow on the uptake over the politics and the creation of this board, too. Just fall right in. You are back home.

Good to have you here.
