Hi. I have a 79 Hawaiian 454 jacuzzi jet drive. I have this vibration. I feel it at an idle then it gets worse when slowly accelerating, now if I nail it to about 2500 I don't feel it as much. The boat sat for three years. Just put a cam and lifters in it this year. I think there was a vibration with it before the cam went out. Possibly impeller? Any other ideas?
Thank you.

Don't know anything about that drive system but it sounds like it may be cavitation. This could be from impeller ding(s), wear ring, debris stuck in either, or anything that could disturb smooth flow ahead of or in the intake area. Others that have fought this more than I will chime in, but that might get you started. Consider using the search function for "cavitation" if you have not already done so. Many threads and a lot of knowledge on this subject in the archives here.

Oh, and welcome aboard! You have come to the right place, somebody will have the right answer for you here.

Here's my impeller. Look normal?IMG_20200729_132148429.jpg

Vibrating the boat or just in the wheel? Not familiar with the berkley style pump, but I wonder if your shaft is out of alignment? Blades look OK, a little worn, but not too bad. Not sure if you have a wear ring on that style pump either, but might be worth it to pull it all out and check it over.

The whole boat. It's a jacuzzi I think a JW. Never had one of these apart. Do I have to split it from the hull or does the bowl come off separately?
