I bought the JetBoatPilot Hydroturf cockpit kit and the additional piece for around the captain's chair back in late October-early November. Color is Brushed Slate Grey. I bought it with all intentions to install this spring - NOW! But after receiving it - the familia mentioned that they prefer the stock carpet instead. Wife really likes the carpet under her feet. I blew them off thinking I could sneak this in. Wrong! :( Happy family = happy captain I guess.

I bought it during 1 of JBP sales events - I paid $289.92 including shipping. So I would like to sell it for that amount or best offer - make me an offer.

It is brand new - still in its original box. I only opened the box to confirm contents, then put it all back in.

The pic is from Will's site to show color - it does not show the additional piece for around the cockpit chair.

If anyone is interested - just send me a note.

Thank you. hydroturf.jpg

What do you have to do...remove all the snaps...And I guess it just sticks on? Is it the pattern of the engine bow step or of the actual floor turf shown? They look like 2 different patterns...can you snap a few pics of what you have?

Same pattern as the engine step over. But the kit does not come with the engine step over - that's a separate kit. It replaces all your carpets.
And yes - it is recommended that you remove all the snaps.

I'll snap some photos once I get home.

Cool no rush still debating if I like the option of hosing off the entire floor hmm decisions desicions

The snaps unscrew easily. I removed them then filled the holes with caulk. After the caulk cured I cleaned the floor with acetone. Then my wife and I installed the mats. They are peel and stick.

Would you do the same thing or at this point prefer to be able to wwipe down the floor ..... any install pics

I had every intentions of installing the HydroTurf, but the wifey (the boss) really likes the feeling of carpet under her feet. I hate the carpet simply because everything that doesn't make it into my kids mouths - like those damn gold fish - end up underneath the carpet. So I take the carpet out, vacuum the crumbs up, hose everything off, and then put the carpet back once everything is dry. With the Turf, once they adhere to your floor, nothing is getting underneath them and I can still hose off if necessary.

For your salt water environment, carpet is definitely not an option. The turf can provide cushion under your feet and you'd still be able to hose her down.

After having my 6yo niece and my 4yo nephew on board last week and finding a feast of nuggets underneath the carpet, I was determined to install the Turf this week - but been holding off cause I don't wanna hear my wife and daughter doubleteam me with the bitching!

My rule is nothing that crumbles is allowed on my boat. I end up seeing a lot healthier snacks like grapes and apple slices. I can nab runnaway items like that much easier than a smashed soggy cracker.

Hey @Zarrella - I knew the Pepperidge Farm man would soon chime in.
I know those "damn gold fish" paid for your boat, and then some - BUT they make a mess when they don't reach their target. Kids love those things, and the ducks around us seem to love them too. But I hate them.

Couple of weeks ago - my son dropped an unopened bag right into the lake. I thought this was great. My satisfaction was brief - my wife had a Costco's size back up.
