We recently bought the 2019 AR 195. While we were driving it, we noticed it's hard to tell what direction the jet drive is pointing at in relation to what position your steering wheel is at. Is there anything we can do to help mitigate this? Is there a feature I am missing? Or is this just a common issue with inboard engines? Thanks for the help.

My wife is usually piloting the boat when taking it on and off the trailer. She had the same concern, and threatened to use some red nail polish on the steering wheel. What we did is get the rudder/jet centered while the boat is on the trailer, and mark the top of the steering wheel hub with a small piece of tap. If the mark is on top, jet is centered.

I also wrapped the top center of the steering wheel with tape.

I put a smiley sticker on the top of the steering wheel spoke.

The FSH boats have a Suicide Knob. There are other similar options available to match your interior/steering wheel. There is a post where folks have put these on the interior side of the steering wheel to to be functional, but out of the way found here and here too.

It was a simple life back when they used to just look like this:

Wow, these are all great responses. These really help. I have not had a chance to check the responses. Thanks guys!

Something like this will help. It goes on your steering wheel. However, I like the suggestion of a zip tie on the wheel so you can feel it.
