I was considering making a Jetboaters.net banner for the upcoming Shelbyville event, but I am no artist!

Here is what I put together on the cheapest online banner seller I could find (post up if you find one cheaper! Looking for an 3'x8' banner) http://www.bannersonthecheap.com/

With grommets, single sided it comes out to $32.20.

Something like:

@Williamsone46 got any great ideas? @OperationROL thoughts?

Anyone....???

Whatever you end up with, order at least one extra and send to @Bruce (or me) for the TexOkLa gathering at Broken Bow.

Yeah...get rid of the GREEN! lol

I think maybe red would look better with the logo on a white, off white, gray background. Well, maybe very light gray or it might swallow the .net

I'm no artist either, but choice 1 above looks good. It would be cool to use Royal Blue for the words since that has really become the Midwest color. However, I understand that this banner will be used for more than that.

The banner site has very limited color selection (I'll have to create the images outside of their site)....but is this better?

Like.

I would prefer red in place of blue, but blue is way better than green. White background for sure.

Who are you having make it? Is there a financial implication with having more color? If not, I would add a gradient of white to red (top to bottom) and then make the Welcome red and the members white and still use the blue JB with white outline. Also, if this is only to be used at this single event, maybe put some information about that event (like the lake it's at) in the banner.

@sysinu my intention was to make it generic so it could be used at any future event. There doesn't appear to be any color limit....but their UI does limit what you can do....but any image can be uploaded....

I would take out the "welcome members" completely........
I agree with that. At least delete the word members. It sounds a little too exclusive. Who knows, you may gain some new members while there.

Too bad I sold my sign and banner business!!

Also, I think Adam mentioned that he was at Lake Powell this week. Do you have the original art so I don't have to crop stuff out and erase things? What size should it be limited to? The JB logo, or maybe the JETBOATERS.NET with the JB logo art should be a good starting point. Then I could mock something up for you in photoshop.

So this isn't the final product, but it's kind of the direction I was thinking could look good. I can easily replace the "The Best Supplement To Your Users Manual" with something more descriptive.

Looks cool.....not sure about the text on the bottom....on a 3x8 banner would it be readable from a distance?

On the business cards I put: "Your Jet Boat Experts On The Web"

Perhaps we should have a thread for our subtitle! :-)

with your text :-). The shorter it is, the larger the font can be without having it run into the boat.
